Is your Curry high in cholesterol?

Our style of cooking only uses the purest vegetable oils and not Ghee like tradition currys, therefore it is the healthiest curry you can eat (of course our butter chicken does contain butter).

Do you use any commercially prepared curry sauces?

Absolutely not, we prepare all dishes from scratch using only the finest ingredients locally sourced as much as possible.

Where do you get your spices?

All spices are imported from suppliers we have been using for the last 10 years, sourced worldwide.

Where did you train as a chef?

Susan trained at Central television which had one of the largest and most diverse restaurant facilities outside of London. It served Company Executives, Celebrities, TV Personalities and even catered for the annual Lord Mayors Banquet. Completing supplementary courses at the College of Food and Tourism in Central Birmingham.

What if I want something that is not on the menu? eg maybe a Pork Rogan Josh or a Beef Satay.

Please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate your requirement.

With a few obvious exceptions all meals are suitable for home freezing.

Can you Cater for Parties, Weddings etc?

Yes we can and are happy to discuss requirements, we can cater for up to 150 people. We frequently cater for Indian weddings.

Why is there an order-after deadline?

On closure of the order book, required fresh produce has to be purchased and cooked freshly. Therefore we need the time to do this prior to delivery. All of our foods are prepared fresh and nothing is frozen. We do not keep any frozen stock as this is not permissible under the terms of our license.

What if I miss the order deadline?

We may still be able to provide you with your meals however the menu we can offer may be limited to whatever we have not cooked yet. Give us a call and we will tell you what we can offer.

What if I need an order on other than a delivery day?

Provided we are not committed elsewhere we are happy to cook specially for you subject to a minimum order for 10 meals. Please call us.

What is the Birmingham Balti Association?

The aim of the association is to get protected status for the Birmingham Balti the same as “Melton Mobray” Pork Pies, “Scotch” Whiskey, “Champagne” etc. The Birmingham Balti is cooked in a unique way and differently to other Baltis. Our recipes and cooking methods had to be audited by the association before we could join.
